Breaking Bad is an American
television series created by Vince Gilligan, broadcast from January 2008 to September
2013 on AMC in the United States and Canada. I discovered this series 3 years ago
without imagining that I was going to get hold of the best current series ever.
It is composed of 62 episodes of 47 minute that I all watched carefully.
The series tells the story of
Walter White, an over-qualified professor of chemistry and father of two
children. Walt is a good guy trapped in a tidy life who sees his life turning
upside down when he learns that he is suffering from lung cancer. And
ironically, he is non smoking ! To ensure the financial future of his
family, the good guy turns into a criminal engaging himself in the manufacture
and sale of methamphetamine, with the help of one of his former students, Jesse
Pinkman.
The plot takes an incredible
extent as the business becomes prosperous and lies become huge. Indeed, Walter
and Jesse are often caught in crazy situations but they always come out through
the achievement of our great chemist. Bryan Cranston, genius actor who played
the father in the series Malcolm, here embodies a character with a
Shakespearean dimension. And, Aaron Paul, who plays Jesse Pinkman, gives a
freshness to the series through his amazing acting. The actors are hypnotic in powerful
and complex characters and the many awards they both won can prove it.
Sometimes the series seems slow
but it remains hypnotic and infused with tension. The story never runs out. Without
forget pre-generics which are always very inventive, and the western
photography showcasing the landscapes of New Mexico. The series is worked in
the manner of a real movie. Breaking Bad is a hard drug that is addictive fast
enough.
